Relly Annett-Baker has spent nearly a decade at the coalface of content creation. This workshop draws on her experience to explore the fundamentals of copywriting for the web, why it should be your first consideration for new and revised sites, a DIY guide to copy from headline to footnotes, and how to avoid the mistakes rookie writers make.
The workshop then builds on this with practical real-world examples, writing exercises and practical advice on managing content volume and multiple authors and projects.
By the end, you will have examples of good headlines and content that you have written to fulfill a brief and a solid knowledge of managing both the creative and business practicalities of web content creation.
Relly Annett-Baker lives in Brighton with her husband, Paul Annett, and their two sons. As a result she thrives on the sea air and can be guaranteed to stand on Lego at least once a day. As well as being a copywriter, she is employed as live-in domestic staff by two cats who often supervise her typing and make editorial suggestions such as “I think it’s dinner time”.
When not being purred into submission she writes copy and content for clients, magazine articles for titles as diverse as .net magazine and Scrapbook Inspirations and is currently writing a children's novel.
